Katie is the founder and principal of Kanvas, a strategy consultancy that makes new ideas viable, compelling, and investible. Kanvas designs innovation labs, forecasts growth opportunities, and due diligences new venture ideas. At Kanvas Ventures, Katie builds, and coaches early-stage founders on, profitable business models. She also advises and angel invests in early stage founders that marry profit with impact (e.g. financial literacy, healthcare). Outside of her consulting work, Katie is a mentor through the Venture Mentoring Team, Day One, and TechStars, as well as an angel investor with Hustle Fund.

What Is Tech Tuesday?
Tech Tuesdays provides founders, funders, coders, creatives, and community builders in tech with free space to work and host events every Tuesday!
During the day, the space is available for hot desk coworking, private meetings, bootcamps, and mentor programming.
In the evening, space is available to host dinners, happy hours, and pitch events that bring the tech community together.
Tech Tuesdays Detroit is made possible by a partnership between Bamboo Detroit, a local coworking space, and Plain Sight, an event ticketing platform that helps event hosts sell tickets, attract sponsors and connect attendees.
