About Shine & Rise
Shine & Rise is an organization with a mission to cultivate connections that elevate and bolster underrepresented folks in the Michigan tech and startup ecosystem. We cultivate community, create content, and put on programming to meet our vision.
HAPPY HOUR PROGRAM: 5pm-7pm
Women in Tech Happy Hour in the 3rd floor cafe at Bamboo Detroit and connect with other women in the Tech space.
What Is Tech Tuesday?
Tech Tuesdays provides founders, funders, coders, creatives, and community builders in tech with free space to work and host events on the last Tuesday of each month!
During the day, the space is available for coworking, private meetings, bootcamps, and mentor programming.
In the evening, space is available to host dinners, happy hours, and pitch events that bring the tech community together.
Tech Tuesdays Detroit is made possible by a partnership between Bamboo Detroit and Plain Sight Plain Sight is an event ticketing platform that helps event hosts sell tickets, attract sponsors and connect attendees.

What types of memberships do you offer?
Virtual: includes full mail service as well as one day pass per month and access to our community events and perks. Comes with conference room credits built-in.
Open coworking: includes 24/7 access to our building and the ability to work at any of our unassigned desks or lounge spaces. Comes with conference room and print credits built-in.
Dedicated desk: includes a dedicated desk where you can set up a fixed workspace + storage that is entirely yours. Comes with conference room and print credits built-in.
Private office: includes a fully enclosed, private space for your team of 1-10 people to work together. Comes with conference room and print credits built-in.
Do I get access to all Bamboo locations?
Yes! All members have access to all Bamboo locations. Members have a homebase such as Royal Oak, then get business access hours M-F 9-5pm in other locations. Credits easily roll over so you can book rooms anywhere, anytime.
How do your Membership Agreements work?
You can sign up to work with us on a monthly, 6-month, or 12-month basis.
If you aren’t quite ready for a membership, we offer day passes and conference room rentals.
What parking options are available?
In Detroit
- There is plenty of street parking within walking distance. Lots charge $2-10 a day. Free parking is available at nearby casinos. Inquire for latest parking dedicated rates.
In Royal Oak
- Street parking is free before 11am.
- You can also get two hours of free parking at the Center Street Garage behind our building ($0.75/hour after the first two hours)
- You can also purchase a parking pass for unlimited parking for $50/month.
In Ann Arbor
- Street parking is all around us
- There are a variety of dedicated parking options around us, ranging $135-200 per spot per month.
