Join us at Bamboo Ann Arbor for Marketing Recharge, a monthly event series to bring together marketers, entrepreneurs, creatives and business owners.

Join us for Marketing⚡ReCharge! in October:
Marketing a Community - Building a Brand by Bringing People Together
Some of the most magnetic brands today aren’t just selling products or services—they’re building communities. Whether it’s a coworking space, a startup ecosystem, or a local gathering, these brands thrive by creating spaces where people feel connected, inspired, and seen.
At October’s Marketing⚡ReCharge!, we’re exploring how community building and brand strategy go hand-in-hand. What does it take to cultivate a strong, engaged audience? How do you turn community into a meaningful differentiator? And what does it look like to market a community—authentically?
Join moderator Tarun Gehani, SEO Director at Pure Visibility and co-organizer of 1 Million Cups Ann Arbor, for a discussion with three local leaders who’ve made community the heart of their brand:
- Amanda Lewan, co-founder and CEO of Bamboo, Detroit’s leading coworking community
- Praveena Ramawami, co-founder of Cargility, a startup focused on inclusive mobility and connection
- Aarash Baktash, Ph.D., tourism economist, community builder, and co-organizer of 1 Million Cups Ann Arbor
Together, we’ll unpack what it really means to lead with purpose, scale with empathy, and market with community in mind. Expect stories, insights, challenges, and strategies you can apply to your own marketing efforts—whether you’re growing a business, launching a new brand, or looking to bring people together around a shared mission.
Come curious. Leave connected.
As always, food and drink and great conversation included.
